From a young age in France, Céline Herbette was unusually sensitive to smell—an ability amplified as she began to lose her hearing. Rather than retreat from scent, she leaned into it: every whiff became more vivid, more resonant. This heightened awareness led her to train formally at the École Supérieure du Parfum in Paris, where she studied raw materials, perfumery techniques, and fragrance applications with dedication.

In 2020, Céline joined UK-based fragrance house CPL Aromas, where she has advanced to the role of Junior Perfumer. She thrives in collaborative spaces, sharing ideas with evaluators, presenting new creations, and exploring raw materials she loves—such as osmanthus for its versatility, cedarwood for its comforting warmth, and muscenone for its enveloping, cozy effect. Sustainability is central to her creative vision; she strives to make both her fragrance work and personal life more sustainable. Outside the lab, she has long been passionate about horse riding, sewing, and cooking exotic dishes.
